I searched straight news sources on-line the day after the ride. Nothing on it anywhere, newspapers, radio, TV. It amazed me that police could forcibly arrest people, take their property, and issue summonses ordering them to appear before a judge, all on the pretext they were "parading without a permit". It amazes me even more they can do this and the straight press is looking the other way. That's scary.

I did find some web video at bikeblog, but I believe the shooter missed a few things - maybe due to being handcuffed. I don't think the police held any people or property, but I don't know for sure. Since there's so little on this, here's my two cents. It's about 2 minutes of pix and audio, 1.4 MB.

By the way - they could take this "parading without a permit" nonsense and arrest every motorist in Manhattan, every day. Anybody seen that happen?
